Brief
While working on behalf of an agency, I designed a set of custom enamel pins for EY, created for an internal employee event held in the mountains. The gathering combined outdoor activities with evening music sessions around a campfire. The goal was to design small, collectible objects that would capture the spirit of the event — a sense of togetherness, shared experience, and a break from everyday corporate routines — while remaining aligned with EY’s brand values.
The pins were intended as keepsakes for employees: something personal, informal, and symbolic, rather than overtly corporate.
Process
The pins were designed to reflect the atmosphere of an EY employee gathering in the mountains — music around a campfire, shared evenings, and time spent away from everyday corporate routines. The visual language draws on simplified mountain landscapes, pine forests, and natural cycles of day and night, with a guitar used as a central symbol of music and togetherness.
Each pin was created as a compact, illustrative scene, using bold shapes and high contrast to ensure legibility at a small scale. The color palette references EY’s brand colors while softening them through natural tones: deep blues, warm oranges, and muted yellows. Designed as a series, the pins represent different moments of the same experience, unified by a consistent style.
Result
The final enamel pin set became a tangible keepsake of the event — balancing EY’s corporate identity with a more human, emotional layer. Rather than functioning as standard branded merchandise, the pins served as small collectible objects, reminding participants of shared moments, music, and connection.
The project shows how thoughtful design can translate an internal corporate event into meaningful, lasting symbols.
